Dr. Marcia Davis is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Azusa Pacific University. With degrees from UCLA and CSULB, she has provided pediatric healthcare in various settings and spent over twelve years as an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda and Azusa Pacific Universities, teaching pathophysiology, pharmacology, and pediatric nursing.

Dr. Davis’s doctoral research focused on enhancing teen resilience through intergenerational approaches as a protective factor against teenage suicide. A devoted Christian, widow, mother of two daughters, and grandmother of four, she enjoys reading, walking, gardening, playing with her grandchildren, and challenging herself with Scrabble and word games.




Marcia Davis is a follower of Jesus Christ The Messiah and has chosen as her life goal, to please The Lord. As a widow who enjoyed 38 ½ years of marriage to a wonderful husband; a mother of two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons-in-law; and grandmother of four precious grandchildren, Marcia has been blessed to experience the Love of God on SO MANY levels and loves to share her testimonies with others!

Professionally, Marcia is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the area of Primary Care. She received a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Nursing degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She later obtained her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from California State University at Long Beach (CSULB) and her Doctor of Nursing Practitice (DNP) degree from the Azusa Pacific University, Graduate School of Nursing.

Marcia has provided health care for children in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, private clinics and school settings. Marcia worked for over twelve years in the formal education of nursing students, serving as an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University and at Azusa Pacific University. She taught courses in pathophysiology, pharmacology, leadership, and parent-child nursing, providing classroom and clinical instruction in pediatrics.

Marcia has a passion for children and has always enjoyed working with them. Alarmed by the staggering statistics on teenage suicide, Marcia focused her doctoral studies on the potential benefit of enhancing teen resilience through an intergenerational approach. As a protective factor against suicide, resilience can be taught and “caught” as teenagers participate in meaningful activities with older adults who have weathered the storms of life and made it.

Marcia enjoys reading, walking, gardening, and playing with her grandchildren. She is an avid Scrabble player and enjoys the challenge of most word games.
